Christmas Update

Well I have been such a bad blogger. Anyway, the news.

Injured my back and its quite a painful nuisance. At work, the best CEO was fired due to our failure to win this huge lawsuit. Its all quite a disaster

I-64 will close between Spaade and I-170 on January 2nd. A lot of my time at work has been spent on trying to develop new options for Metro.

Blood sugar is as usual a 24 hour a day battle. I am investigating new Insulin pumps with possible continuous monitoring. Its rumored that insurance companies are beginning to pay for this expensive feature. It would help me keep my blood sugar in a narrower band.

Nick is wrestling and has grown to 5' 6 1/2". Amazing. Its also amazing he seems to have no home work and they take no tests. How school has changed. (He tells me they have homework but he completes it at school.)

Patty is working 50 hours a week at her part time job with the Collinsville Recreation District.

I watch every presidential speech, interview, and pundits viewpoint. Last night I was ready to sign up for John Edwards. Totally spellbinding. Now I have swung from Hillary, Obama, Edwards,Biden. Even Dodd and Richardson are good. I guess than means you can't lose unless of course George Bush Jr. finds a way to continue his presidency. I can't believe the self assured arrogance of the guy.

On the Republican side....my libertarian streak comes out with an interest in Ron Paul. His vision for the future would sure be different.

I have passed my Technician and General Amateur Radio license but have as yet not used my radio. Need to string up an antenna and someday purchase a more modern radio. That my have to wait until I get a second job.

So much for the update. I continue to ride my bike every day on my commute. Best part of my day by far. I wish we could mandate a bike day where the highways are shut down and every one has to walk or ride a bike. Wouldn't that be amazing. How about a tax credit for bikes. Tax cars and trucks and make bikes literally free. That's my world.
